So a few weeks ago, I had a client reach out and ask if I'd be willing to help her out! Her father-n-law had just past away and while visiting loved ones they ran across some never seen before images of her father-n-law that she took with her iPhone. They were not only a picture of a picture, but they were damaged, one was even torn in half. So I told her to shoot them over, and I'd take a look.
Little did I know, how much I would enjoy repairing the images. Even though it took several hours, I found myself going back in time and wondering so many things...what was the weather like that day, what were the emotions like, and most of all, what type of camera?
Isn't it crazy how we take for granted all the images we can snap with our smartphones, iPad, and digital camera? Plus we get instant viewing capabilities.
I think the most precious image was the one from the group shot. This is the only image that my client's husband now has of his mom and him. She soon past after this photo was taken.
...It was truly refreshing to work on something so treasured in only four images.
